What can You Find In The Hut?

My first attempts at barbecue cooking was carried out on a small charcoal grill. With basic store bought food like burgers, sausages, chicken pieces and kebabs. As my interest increased I bought marinated meat. All store bought, but it was another step up the ‘barbecue ladder’.

I soon realised that my small grill wasn’t big enough and bought something bigger. A friend had a barbeque with a hood on it.

"What’s that for?", I asked.
"To keep the wind and rain off the food", he said.

It was another few years later that I found out the real purpose of a hooded bbq.

And that’s how I progressed over the years. Learning how to use barbecue grills and smokers more effectively. Trying out new recipes and adapting them to suit my own tastes.

Adapting recipes, by the way, is what I suggest to you. Use a recipe as a staring point and change it to suit your own preferences and availability of ingredients. Experiment and enjoy your BBQ cooking.
